She was born Nov. 22, 1945, in Portsmouth, N.H., the daughter of Marion Hodgdon Clare of Exeter and the late Wendell P. Clare Jr., who died March 4, and had resided in California for more than 25 years. She was a graduate of Portsmouth High School and Belknap College. She trained at Lakes Region Hospital, Laconia, N.H., and interned at Mary Hitchcock Hospital, Hanover, N.H. She was a medical technologist. She was a member of North Congregational Church, Portsmouth. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Morton Kirsch of San Francisco; one sister, Lee Schlegel and her husband, John, of Fairfax, Va.; one brother, Wendell, "Bud" Clare, and his wife, Penny, of Lee, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. CLARE - Wendellyn Clare, 55, of San Francisco and Glen Ellen, Calif., died Dec. 2, 2000. A memorial service will be held at noon on Dec. 16 in North Church Chapel, Spinney Road, Portsmouth.
