Kingston NEWFIELDS - Winifred Mae Yager Kingston, 69, died of lung cancer Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at her home. She was born May 27, 1931, in Hackettestown, N.J. the daughter of Helen M. Yager of Exeter and the late Charles Yager. She had resided in Newfields for many years. She was a graduate of Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, N.J., where she received her degree in nursing. Mrs. Kingston and her late husband owned and operated The Nook and Granny in York, Maine, a small antique business. She enjoyed playing tennis, bridge, painting, rug hooking, sewing and "antiquing." The widow of William B. "Willie" Kingston Jr., her husband of 40 years, in addition to her mother, she is survived by five daughters, Kathleen A. Kingston of Anchorage, Alaska, Sally A. Kingston of Santa Barbara, Calif.; Nancy M. Kingston of Newfields; Carol L. Mucci and her husband Joseph of Windham; and Patricia V. Mosher and her husband H. Todd of Gardiner, Maine; eight grandchildren; and one brother, Roy N. Yager of Hackettestown. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday in Sacred Heart Church, Newfields. Burial was in Rockingham Cemetery, Newfields. Memorial donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833, St. Peter's College, 51 Glenwood Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07306 or to Mountainside Hospital Alumni Association, c/o Marilyn Lizak, 557 W. Main St., Rockaway, NJ 07866.
