Constance Freese 

PORTSMOUTH - At the family's request, there will be no service for Constance
(Wiggin) Freese, 80, who died June 30, 2000, at the Eden Park Nursing Home 
in Rutland, Vt. 

Born Dec. 21, 1919, in Manchester, she was the daughter of Arthur and 
Marguerite (Harris) Wiggin. 

She married Richard Schmerder on March 21, 1941. Mr. Schmerder died on Sept.
8, 1982. In 1985, she married Russell Freese. Together they lived in England
for eight years before moving to Portsmouth. Mr. Freese also predeceased 
her. 

She is survived by two daughters, Fairlee MacEslin of Woodstock, Vt., and 
Pamela Washburn of Rutland; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. 

Memorial donations may be made to the Lucy MacKenzie Humane Society, Cox 
Road, Woodstock, VT 05091.
