"Tubby" Emery Sr., 66, of 182 Main St., died Friday, June 30, 2000, in Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, after a lengthy illness. He was born May 10, 1934, in Lynn, Mass., the son of the late Charles and Anne (McLeod) Emery. and was a longtime Fremont resident. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Emery owned L.R. Emery & Sons for many years. He was a member of People's United Methodist Church, Fremont. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Eleanor (Spaulding) Emery of Fremont; four sons, Gary Emery of Fremont, Ron Emery of Cumberland, R.I., Steve Emery of Manchester and Brian Emery of Fremont; four daughters, Lorraine Shaw of Fremont, Melodie Desmarais and Sheri Ward, both of Raymond, and Tracey Emery of Derry; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, E. Elliott Emery of Fremont; one sister, Charla Brown of Danville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Monday in People's United Methodist Church of Fremont with the Rev. John Barner officiating. Burial was at Village Cemetery, Fremont. Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond. Priscilla E. Barnes FREMONT -- Priscilla Estes Barnes, 82, of 13 Sandown Road, died Monday, July 3, 2000, at her home. She was born Aug. 23, 1917, in Groveland, Mass., the daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Kempton) Estes. She lived in Groveland for many years and resided in Hampstead, Kingston and Epping and in Fremont for the past 11 years. She was a Groveland High School graduate. Mrs. Barnes was employed by Western Electric in North Andover, Mass., retiring in 1974 after 25 years of service. She attended Raymond Congregational Church; was a member of the Brentwood Seniors; the L.T.T. Club in Groveland; and the Ray-Fre Senior Citizens. She was an avid bingo and card player. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Ruth and Lansing Reed of Duxbury, Mass., Martha and George Comtois of Raymond and Meredith and Jesse Bolduc of Fremont; one son and his wife, Lewis and Carol Barnes of Keene; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, John A. Barnes, who died in 1985; and her second husband, Carl Armstrong, who died in 1988. Funeral services are Friday at 11 a.m. in Raymond Congregational Church with the Rev. Neil Iverson officiating. Burial follows at Plaistow Cemetery, Plaistow. Carline HAMPTON -- Norma L. Carline, 68, of 3 Reubens Driftway, died Friday, June 30, 2000, in Exeter Hospital. She was born April 20, 1932 in Malden, Mass., the daughter of the late Heber and Edith (Burton) Warren, and resided in Tewksbury, Mass., moving to Hampton in 1976. She was a graduate of the former Howe High School in Billerica, Mass., and attended Northern Essex Community College. Mrs. Carline was the office manager for Priority Personnel Inc., Newburyport, Mass. She was previously the assistant vice president in the commercial loan division of the former Seabrook Bank & Trust Company for 14 years. She served on the board of directors of My Greatest Dream and volunteered as coordinator and secretary. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Charles J. Carline Jr.; three sons, Charles J. Carline III of Raymond, Stephen J. Carline of Phoenix, Ariz., and Scott W. Carline of Newmarket; two daughters, Ellen E. Fowler of Hampton and Donna E. Donahue of Eliot, Maine; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lois Schmelzer of Bow, Joyce McLaughlin of Hampton and Marjorie Johnston of Naples, Fla; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Betty Robinson. Funeral services were Monday in Trinity Episcopal Church, Hampton. Burial was at High Street Cemetery, Hampton. Pecola CONWAY -- Arlene Lois Pecola, 66, of Hobbs Street, died Tuesday, July 4, 2000, at the Hospice House, Concord, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 14, 1933, in Center Harbor, the daughter of the late Harry and Lois (Copp) Abbott Sr. She was raised in North Conway, lived in Raymond from 1964 until 1986, and in Conway for the past 15 years. She was a graduate of Kennet High School. Mrs. Pecola was employed at Gemini Valve in Raymond and Eastern Slope Inn, North Conway. The widow of Paul J. Pecola Sr., who died in 1983, she is survived by two sons and their wives, David and Ann Pecola of Hampton and Paul J. and Claire Pecola Jr. of Raymond; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Malcolm Abbott of Conway and George Abbott of Albany; one sister, Frances Turgeon of Princeton, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Harry Abbott Jr. and Arnold Abbott. Graveside services are Saturday, July 8, at 10 a.m. in Conway Village Cemetery, Conway.
