Permission received to include in the USGenWeb Archives. William H. Haynes Jr. KINGSTON -- William H. Haynes Jr., 80, of 5 Toppan Road, died Wednesday, July 12, 2000, in Exeter Hospital. He was born Feb. 23, 1920, in Somerville, Mass., was raised in Watertown, Mass., and had resided in South Boston before moving to Kingston in 1972. He was a graduate of Watertown High School and served in the National Guard from 1938 until 1940. Mr. Haynes worked for many construction companies as a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Local No. 29 of Quincy, Mass. He was a 32nd degree member of the Gate of the Temple Lodge of Masons, Boston, and a member of the Aleppo Shrine of Wilmington, Mass. He enjoyed playing the organ, camping and canoeing. The widower of Cornelia (Pels) Haynes, he is survived by one daughter and her husband, Cornelia "Connie" and Donald Weese of Kingston; three sons, William H. Haynes III and Richard A. Haynes, both of Fremont, and Albert T. Haynes and his wife Barbara of Atkinson; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Dr. Eleanor Smith of Malibu, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday in Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, Plaistow. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Kingston. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 1014, Manchester, NH 03105. Nathaniel James Howard RAYMOND -- Nathaniel James Howard, 2 months old, died Thursday, July 13, 2000, in Exeter Hospital, after a sudden illness. He was born May 3, 2000, in Dover, the son of James Howard of Somersworth and Crystal Davis of Raymond. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Sheri Davis of Raymond and Deborah Eggleston of Somersworth; his paternal grandparents, Douglas and Pamela Dunham of Somersworth, and Stephen Howard of Alfred, Maine; his paternal great-grandfathers, Guy Junkins Sr. of Parsonsfield, Maine, and Chester Howard of North Berwick, Maine; his paternal great-grandmothers, Marie Benvie of North Berwick, Maine, and Eva Marshall of Wells, Maine; his maternal great grandparents, William and Sally Davis of Raymond and Carol Eggleston of Raymond; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services were held Monday in Fellowship in Christ Church, Raymond. Burial was in Center Cemetery, Sandown. Arrangements were by Peabody Funeral Homes Inc., Derry. George H. Bennett NEWBURYPORT, Mass. -- George H. Bennett, 66, of 6 Chapel St., died Sunday, July 16, 2000, at his home. He was born Sept. 6, 1933, in Lowell, Mass., the son of the late William and Ethel (Barris) Bennett and had resided in Newburyport for more than 45 years, coming from Tewksbury, Mass. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Bennett owned and operated G.H. Bennett Trucking Co. of Newburyport. He had previously worked for Western Electric in North Andover, Mass., for more than 30 years. He enjoyed reading the paper, listening to music and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan D. (Webster) Bennett of Newburyport; two sons and their wives, Jonathan W. and Marjorie Bennett and Michael D. and Jennifer Bennett, all of Newburyport, Mass.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jody E. Nicholson of Newburyport, who nursed him through his illness, Holly J. and James Packer of Stratham, and Allison W. and Frederick Trofatter Jr. of Raymond; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, William H. Bennett of Greenfield, Mass., and Ralph R. Bennett of Tewksbury; one sister, Beverly A. Bennett of Tewksbury; and several nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.
