Gylfphe, 92, of South Road, died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood. She was born June 12, 1908, in Worcester, Mass., the daughter of the late Henry A. and Hanna (Mattson) Johnson. She had resided in Nottingham since 1970 coming from Melrose, Mass. Mrs. Gylfphe was a member of Raymond Congregational Church; the Raymond Garden Club; and the Nottingham Women's Group. The widow of Carl H. Gylfphe Sr., who died in 1982, she is survived by two sons, Carl H. Gylfphe Jr. of Melrose and Peter A. Gylfphe of Nottingham; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Elna Quilla of Worcester; several nieces and nephews; and one cousin. Calling hours will be held Monday, July 31, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, On the Common, Raymond. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Southside Cemetery, Nottingham. Harriman NEWMARKET -- Paul E. Harriman, 68, of 175 Exeter Road, died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born May 23, 1932, in Milo, Maine, the son of Harold and Erva (Hovey) Harriman and had lived in Barrington before moving to Newmarket three years ago. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Mr. Harriman was a retired employee of the town of Newmarket. He was a member of the Masons in Merrimac, Mass. and the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice (Woods) Harriman of Newmarket; three daughters, Terry Tessier of Salisbury, Mass., Bonnie Sullivan of Atkinson and Brenda Patterson of Merrimac; one son, Scott Harriman of Groveland, Mass.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Harriman of Bradford, Mass.; one sister, Betty Ouellette of Groveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Somersworth. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Newmarket. Grondin & Son Funeral Service, Rochester. Patrick B. Jennings METHUEN, Mass. -- Patrick B. Jennings died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. He was born in Methuen and was educated in Methuen schools. Mr. Jennings was employed in the mail room at Bell Laboratories, retiring in 1983. The widower of Frieda M. (Gaudette) Jennings, he is survived by one daughter and her husband, Janice and Raymond Arsenault of Raymond; two grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Burns of East Hartford, Conn., and Elizabeth Kiernan of Methuen; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 9 a.m. in St. Monica Church, Methuen. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, Mass. Arrangements are by the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Lawrence. Harry B. Knox NORTH HAMPTON -- Harry B. Knox, 79, died Wednesday, July 26, 2000, at Edgewood Centre, Portsmouth, after a brief illness. He was born Aug. 29, 1920, in Concord, the son of the late Elmer B. and Gladys (Murby) Knox. He resided in Allenstown for 37 years before moving to Exeter and North Hampton. He was a graduate of Pembroke Academy, Pembroke, and the University of New Hampshire. Mr. Knox worked for the Rockingham County Extension Service in 4-H Youth Development retiring in 1987 after 35 years of service. He attended Hampton Falls Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Louise E. (Margeson) Knox of North Hampton; one daughter and her husband, Elizabeth A. and Rodney E. Sparkowich of Portland, Maine; one son, Brian E. Knox of Hooksett; three grandchildren; one aunt; three cousins; a former daughter-in-law, Cheryl Smith of North Hampton; a foster family, Paul and Suzie Chevrette of Allenstown; four foster grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Phyllis Margeson of Exeter. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Hampton Falls Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow in Kenison Cemetery, Allenstown. Stilson, 37, died Sunday, July 23, 2000, in Chester, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born March 2, 1963, in Exeter, the son of Carl Stilson and Barbara Willette, both of Epping. He was raised in Epping, had resided in New Boston and Bedford and in Dunbarton for the past year. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving with the special forces in Germany, Spain and Alaska. Mr. Stilson was a self employed builder/framer in the Bedford area. He was a member of the N.H. Builders Association. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Heather L. Stilson of Dunbarton; one son, Jonathan Belanger of Manchester; two brothers, Carl Stilson of Deerfield and David Stilson of Manchester; one sister, Shelly Naroian of Sandown; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial services were held Wednesday in the Peabody Funeral Home, Derry.
