Permission received to include in the USGenWeb Archives. Anthony T. Vincent KINGSTON -- Anthony T. Vincent, 90, of 87 Ball Road, died Monday, Sept. 11, 2000, at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born Nov. 12, 1909, in Cambridge, Mass., and had resided in Stoughton, Mass., for 40 years. He was educated in Cambridge schools. In his younger years he played semi-professional football as a member and captain of the Aces Club of Cambridge. Mr. Vincent owned and operated Norcross Window Cleaning Co. in the Boston area for 40 years. He first worked for the Panther Rubber Co. of Stoughton. During World War II he was a rigger at the Charlestown Naval Shipyard repairing destroyers and battleships and also worked aboard the U.S.S. Constitution. He was a member of the Kingston Lions Club and served as the vice president of the Kingston Fair Committee and was in charge of maintenance at the YMCA Camp Lincoln in Kingston. He was an accomplished woodworker and constructed several heirloom pieces and doll houses for family and as a fund-raiser for the Kingston Playground Committee. He enjoyed camping with his family at Lake Shore Park and flea markets. He was a former member of Immaculate Conception Parish. The widower of Julia (Bunavicz) Vincent, who died in 1983, he is survived by one son, Thomas A. Vincent of Atkinson; two daughters, Rosalie S. Grenon and her husband David of Kingston, and Judith H. Vincent of Norton, Mass.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Kerins of Long Beach, Calif., and Catherine Naughton of Springvalley, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter, Pauline Deltano, who died in 1995. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon, Mass. Burial was in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Memorial donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833. Arrangements were by Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, Plaistow. Sheryl L. Carter EXETER -- Sheryl L. Carter, 50, of Great Hill Court, died Saturday, Sept.. 9, 2000, in Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, after a battle with leukemia. She was born Sept. 29, 1949, in Exeter, the daughter of Walter G. and Janice E. (Holmes) Carter of Kingston, and has resided in Exeter for several years. She was a 1967 graduate of Sanborn Seminary. Mrs. Carter was employed at The Grill, Phillips Exeter Academy, for the past 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Brett Charleston of the U.S. Marine Corps, and Albert Short and his wife Christie of Barrington; her fiancee, Matthew Kucharski of Exeter; two grandsons; three sisters, Candra Carter of Pleasanton, Calif., Dawn Robertson of Escondido, Calif., and Jayne Hanscomb of East Kingston; three brothers, Grant Carter of Kensington, Cory Carter of Oak Hill, Fla., and Layne Carter of Kingston; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside services were held Tuesday in Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston, with the Rev. Thompson officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Society of America. Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. Lorraine Lanciani EXETER -- Lorraine (Boulanger) Lanciani, 73, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, at Exeter Healthcare. She was born Dec. 20, 1926, in Haverhill, Mass., the daughter of the late Leon P. and Doris K. (Moran) Boulanger. She had resided in Newmarket before moving to Exeter. Mrs. Lanciani was the head shipper and receiver at S & H Precision Manufacturing Co. of Newmarket. The widow of Edward Lanciani, she is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard and Sylvia Lanciani of Sandown, Edward and Dora Lanciani of Kittery, Maine, and David Lanciani of Thomaston, Maine; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan Mazza of Haverhill, Mass.; and one niece and one nephew. Graveside services were held Wednesday in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Arrangements were by the Paul C. Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Haverhill. Phyllis J. Brackett MANCHESTER -- Phyllis J. Brackett, 72, of Falcon Crest Way, died Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, in Elliot Hospital, Manchester. She was born April 5, 1928, in Exeter, the daughter of the late George and Martha (Proctor) Stevens. She had resided in Raymond for many years, and in Panama City, Fla., for 20 years before moving back to New Hampshire. Mrs. Brackett and her late husband owned and operated Harry's Mobile Homes. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. The widow of Harry H. Brackett, who died in 1996, she is survived by one son, Gary Bryant of Hopedale, Mass.; two daughters, Jimmie Jean Demos of Manchester and Terrie Reed of Raymond; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Tuesday in Old Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond, with the Rev. J. Chandler Newton officiating. Arrangements were by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond.
