Bushley PORTSMOUTH - Alfred D. Bushley, 79, the husband of Mary I. (Diugan) Bushley, of 74 Osprey Drive, died Wednesday, Jan 3, 2001, at the Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth. He was born in Rumford, Maine, on Aug. 29, 1921, the son the late Alphonse W. and Isabel (Whytock) Bushley. He was a graduate of Mexico High School, in Mexico, Maine, the Class of 1938. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for over 30 years. He was a member of AARP. Survivors include his wife, whom he married on Nov. 24, 1956; his stepchildren, Barbara Saur of Florida and William Pike of Maine; three stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; one step great-great-grandchild; a brother, Robert Bushley and his wife, Ora, of Windham, Maine; a nephew, David Bushley of Windham, Maine; and three nieces.
