Barden KITTERY POINT, Maine - Catherine G. Barden, 49, of Short Farm Road, died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, suddenly at her home. Born July 5, 1951, in Exeter, N.H., she was a daughter of Leslie O. and Constance B. (Brennan) Barden and attended local schools. She graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School and attended the University of New Hampshire. She was a homemaker and was previously employed for many years by the Feminist Health Center in Greenland, N.H. She had a fond love of animals, particularly horses. She was the wife of Robert M. Grant. In addition to her husband, survivors include her parents, Leslie Barden of Farmington, N.H., and Constance Barden of Alfred; three children, Tate B. Hawes of Burlington ,Vt., Crispin M. Grant and Robin G. Grant; a brother, Russell Barden of Richmond; two sisters, Sayre Downs of Kittery Point and Rhona Jones of North Berwick; and many nieces and nephews. BARDEN - Catherine G. Barden, 49, of Short Farm Road, Kittery Point, Maine, died Jan. 27, 2001, suddenly at her home. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at the J.S. Pelkey Funeral Home, 125 Old Post Road/U.S. Route 1 Bypass, Kittery, Maine. Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral Home. Catherine Barden KITTERY POINT, Maine - A funeral was held on Jan. 30, 2001, for Catherine Barden 49, of Short Farm Road, who died suddenly at her home on Jan. 27, 2001. Some of her favorite readings were chosen by her family, including readings from Shel Silverstein. The Rev. Jill Vogt officiated and many kind words were spoken by some of her close friends.
