He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., Jan. 2, 1909. He served in the Army during World War II and was decorated for service at the Battle of the Bulge. Moving to Florida with his family in the '50s, he and his wife Mildred owned and operated a restaurant, Buds Take-out, which is still in operation today. In 1964 he was the Elks Man of the Year in Pompano Beach. In his 60s, instead of retirement, he and his wife traveled to New Hampshire where he was the head chef at the Wentworth by the Sea Fairways, which were some of his happiest years. He had many, many friends, always returning to Florida each winter. He was most proud of his family, his two children, Nancy Madden and her husband, Hank, of Eliot, and David Molineux and his wife, Phyllis, of Taos, N.M.; his five grandchildren, Sean Arnold and his wife, Kathleen, of South Berwick, Myca Wateson and her husband, Darren, of Pompano Beach, Fla., Allison Schultze of Pompano Beach, Skye Molineux and his wife, Fabiana, of Pompano Beach, Kelly Koch and her husband, Bill, of Germany; and his seven great-grandchildren, who brought such joy to him everyday. He will be missed by all.
