Nadeau Donald P. Nadeau, 81, formerly of South Londonderry, Vt., died on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 at Holton Point in Lancaster. Mr. Nadeau was born in Lancaster on July 27, 1919, the son of Francis Xavier and Olivine (Bilodeau) Nadeau. Raised in Lancaster, he was a graduate of Lancaster Academy. During World War II, he went to work as a machinist at Lovejoy Tool in Springfield, Vt., where he was employed for over 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, and was also an avid horseman. Family members include two daughters, Lena N. Ameden of South Londonderry, Vt., and Harriette O. French of Springfield, Vt.; a brother, Hubert Nadeau of Lancaster; a sister, Doris Derosier of Lancaster; and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn (Lakin) Nadeau, in 1993; two brothers, Francis Nadeau and John Nadeau; and three sisters, Mary McGraw, Lena Nadeau, and Alice Cote. A funeral service was held on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 11 a.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. The Rev. John Mazzei, pastor of All Saints Church officiated. Burial will be in the spring in the Glebe View Cemetery in South Londonderry, Vt.
