Mrs. Fiatte was born in Lancaster on Feb. 5, 1926, the daughter of Dr. Chester T. Parker and Gwendolyn Cross. She was raised in Lancaster and went on to graduate from the University of New Hampshire and the University of Pittsburg, earning a master’s degree in Library Science. She retired as head librarian from the Community College in Monroeville, Pa. Family members include her husband, Richard Fiatte of Monroeville; a daughter, Susan Fiatte McGilvrey of Chesapeake, Va; a sister, Mary Parker Kuntz of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; three grandchildren; and a cousin, Connie Eastman, of Lancaster. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held on Monday morning, Feb. 5, at 11 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Lancaster. The Rev. John Jackson, interim pastor, will officiate. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to Hospice, 3029 Jacks Run Road, White Oak, PA 15131.
