Elizabeth Ann Joyce 

PORTSMOUTH - Elizabeth Ann Joyce, 80, of 140 Court St., passed away Friday, 
Jan. 19, 2001, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. 

Born in Lakewood, N.Y., Feb. 8, 1920, she was the daughter of Walter and 
Paola (Peters) Hayward. She was a pediatric registered nurse. During World 
War II she worked with the Red Cross drawing blood for blood banks in Boston. 

A resident of Portsmouth for the past 12 years, she volunteered with the Red 
Cross at the local blood banks. 

The widow of William Gregory Joyce II, who died in 1983, she is survived by a 
daughter, Deborah Ann Norberg of Boston; two sons, William G. Joyce III of 
Melbourne, Fla., and Mark S. Joyce of Portsmouth; and seven grandchildren. 

JOYCE - Elizabeth Ann Joyce, 80, of 140 Court St., Portsmouth, died Friday, 
Jan. 19, 2001. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family
with interment in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Lakewood, N.Y. Arrangements by the 
Farrell Funeral Home, 684 State St., Portsmouth.
