Harrigan, Publisher (Feb 7, 2001 -issue) "All the news that fits" FORMATTED: by CParziale, Feb 2001 ***************************************************************************** Harlene Wilkinson MARLBORO, Mass. - Harlene (Connary) Wilkinson, 94, died at Worcester General Hospital in Worcester, Mass. on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001. Mrs. Wilkinson was born in Stratford on May 1, 1906, the daughter of Harlan T. Connary and Hattie M. Stone. She was raised in Lancaster and went on to graduate from Plymouth Normal School. She taught school for several years in rural communities, broke her ankle while walking to her school, and gave up teaching to work in Lancaster at the former Albiom L. Buck store. After several years she went to work for Sinclair and Mrs. Weeks at Cat Bow Farm, Martin Meadow Pond, Lancaster, with responsibility for the care of the Weeks children. Winters were spent in West Newton, Mass. at the Weeks family home. In 1935, Harlene married Richard M. Wilkinson of Storrs, Conn. at her family home, 59 Bunker Hill Street in Lancaster. She is survived by two sons, Albert and James Wilkinson of Marlboro, Mass., two daughters, Judy Gazza of Portland, Me. and Harriet Fresolo of Millbury, Mass.; nine grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Henryetta C. Kay and Harriet C. Allin, both of Lancaster. She was predeceased by her husband on Aug. 13, 1978, by twin brothers, Mervin T. and Merlin F. Connary, and another brother, Mason S. Connary. Harlene donated her body to science.
