Adamski BEDFORD - Joseph Alexander Adamski, 75, of 11 Old Coventry Lane, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2001, at his home after an extended illness. He was born March 20, 1925, in Exeter, the son of Margaret (Novak) Adamski of Exeter and the late Ignacy Adamski. He resided in Framingham, Mass., for 46 years, moving to Bedford last year. He was a 1943 graduate of Exeter High School and received his engineering degree from N.H. Tech. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving as a member of the first wave at Omaha Beach in Normandy. He served a second tour of duty in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Adamski owned and was president of Parke Mathematical Co. of Lowell, Mass., retiring two years ago. He was previously employed as an electrical engineer for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at the Lincoln Labs and worked at Rome Labs at Hanscomb Air Force Base growing crystals in the research and development department for more than 20 years. He held several patents in electronics. and was listed in Who's Who in American Scientists. He had published many technical papers and spoke at many international conferences. He enjoyed collecting model trains and sailing. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Christa (Priemel) Adamski of Bedford; two daughters and their husbands, Carleen and Steven Korkin of Bedford and Robin and Richard Arrighi of West Palm Beach. Fla.; four grandchildren; four stepchildren, Jean Maurice, Brenda Barrows, James Barrows and Michael Barrows; one brother, Theodore Adamski of Exeter; one sister, Pearl Lancaster of Wells, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife of 43 years, Peggy (Ciccola) Adamski, who died in 1991. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Exeter. Military burial will be at 1 p.m. in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham.
