The daughter of Merton F. and Fances (Raymond) Brown, Lois was born on April 1, 1934 in Boston, Mass. Lois was an active member at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. She was a volunteer with the NVRH Auxiliary and was the treasurer at the gift shop for 27 years. Lois is survived by her husband, Wayne R. Peters of St. Johnsbury; a son, James B. Locke of St. Johnsbury; three brothers, Merton Brown of Mt. Vernon, Richard Brown of Georgia, and Ronald Brown of Twin Mountain; a sister, Betty Kelly and husband, Albert, of Weare, and Naples, Fla.; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Jan. 14 at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, St. Johnsbury, with the Revs. Jeanette Tweedy and Melvin A. Richardson officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in St. Johnsbury. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Institute for Cancer Research, P.O.
