Friends are respectfully invited and may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bartlett Cemetery, Amesbury, Mass. If desired, donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833; or to the Seacoast Visiting Nurse Association, 29 Lafayette Road, North Hampton, NH 03862. Lord, 71, formerly of 78 Dearborn Ave., died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood. Born Dec. 4, 1929, in Amesbury, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Leeland and Margaret (Dearborn) Lord. She attended Amesbury schools until the family moved to Hampton, and she was a graduate of Hampton Academy. She later attended the Lynn, Mass., branch of Burdett College. She worked as a bookkeeper for School Administrative Unit 21 in Hampton for 16 years and also at the Rockingham County Nursing Home for 14 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church and its Women's Guild. She was also a volunteer at the Rockingham Nursing Home. Family members include several cousins. LORD - Marjorie V. Burial followed in the Bartlett Cemetery, Amesbury, Mass., with the committal service conducted by the Rev.
