Wiggin HAMPTON - Margaret Elizabeth Wiggin, 86, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Seacoast Healthcare. She was born June 4, 1914, in Cohasset, Mass., the daughter of James and Elizabeth (McLeod) Wilson and had resided in Hampton for more than 50 years. She was a graduate of Cohasset High School and received her degree in business accounting from Boston School of Business. Mrs. Wiggin was employed by Allied Gas Co. of Exeter, John Conway, CPA, of Exeter and Pearse Leather of Hampton. She was an accomplished self-taught artist and had many of her oil seascapes and landscapes on display throughout the state. She was a science and astronomy enthusiast and was the recipient of the highest honors as a Girl Scout leader. The widow of Paul N. Wiggin, she is survived by two daughters, Martha Ann Bernier of Kensington and Pauline Hopkins of Eugene, Ore.; one stepdaughter, Margaret Smith of Exeter; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, with the Rev. David Lennox officiating.
