Kimmons PORTSMOUTH - Sarah R. Kimmons, 67, the widow of Emmanuel Tubbins Sr., of 40 Bedford Way, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Gardo, Ala., on Feb. 27, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Jessie Mae (Goings) Cooks. She was formerly employed at Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth and the Dover Rehabilitation Center as a CNA. Survivors include her children, Dortha Sykes of Portsmouth, James Townsend of Somersworth, Susie Young Clooney of Dover, Edwin Emmanuel Tubbins of Dover, and Sonnita Kimmons of Tampa, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna R. Cohill of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, Roy Cooks and Lloyd Cooks, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. KIMMONS - Sarah R. Kimmons, 67, of 40 Bedford Way, Portsmouth, died Jan. 29, 2001. Funeral services will be held at the New Hope Baptist Church, Peverly Hill Road, Portsmouth, at 11 a.m. on Thursday. Friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held at the church one hour prior to the services, from 10 to 11 a.m. Arrangements are by the J.
