Vera Outhouse 

YORK, Maine - Mrs. Vera Outhouse, 101 years old, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2001,
at the Harbor Home in York. 

She was born Nov. 21, 1899, in New York City, the daughter of Arthur and Ida 
(Halstead) MacBain. She attended schools in New York City. In 1920 she 
married Charles H. Outhouse in Montrose, N.Y. Her husband died in 1977. 

In 1979 she moved from New York to live with her daughter and her family in 
South Attleboro, Mass. In 1986 they moved to York. 

She was a devoted wife and mother, and over the years she was active with the
Seventh Day Advent Church. She was a former member of that church in 
Peekskill, N.Y., and also a member of the Portsmouth Seventh Day Advent 
Church. 

She was predeceased by a sister, Meta Conklin. She is survived by two 
daughters, Vera Weller of York, and Murial M. Fogg of Mt. Plymouth, Fla. She
will be deeply missed by her beloved three grandchildren; eight 
great-grandchildren and her one great-great-grandchild. 

No funeral services or visitations will be held. A family memorial service 
and burial will be held at a later date.
