"Chris" Girardin GREENLAND - Christopher P. "Chris" Girardin, 18, of 4 October Drive, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. He was born in Portsmouth on Jan. 24, 1983, the son of Sidney A. and Susan L. (Phillippi) Girardin of Greenland. He attended Portsmouth High School where he was an officer for the Class of 2001. He was a member of the soccer, swim and track teams; National Honor Society; and Peer Leadership. He was a member of the Greenland Community Congregational Church and the Boy Scouts of America. In addition to his parents, survivors include his maternal grandmother, Rosemary Phillippi of Swarthmore, Pa.; paternal grandparents Sidney and Arlene Girardin of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.; his brother, Andrew Girardin of Greenland; and his dog, Parker. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the North Congregational Church, Market Square, Portsmouth. Friends invited. No visiting hours. Family flowers only.
