Carroll PORTSMOUTH - Eva V. (Sisman) Carroll, widow of Robert M. Carroll, of 31 Wilson Road, Portsmouth, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at the Edgewood Centre. She was born in Exeter, daughter of Peter and Felicia (Boris) Sisman. She was a communicant of St. James Church in Portsmouth. She was retired from the shoe industry and had also worked at Rich's Dept. Store, formerly in Portsmouth. She loved gardening and cooking and was a friend to many people. Survivors include her sisters, Joan Pike and her husband, John, of Portsmouth, and Mary Esselstyn, of Redwood City, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Leigh Baysden, of Fredericksburg, Va.; a step-grandson, Robert Baysden, of Fredericksburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. CARROLL - Eva V. (Sisman) Carroll, of 31 Wilson Road, Portsmouth, died Feb. 13, 2001. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. James Church, 2075 Lafayette Road, Portsmouth. Friends are invited. No visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Children's Hospital, Boston Unit, c/o Memorial Gift Coordinator, Bektash Shriners, P.O. Box 7252, Concord, NH 03301-7252. Arrangements are by J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel. Mrs. Eva V. (Sisman) Carroll PORTSMOUTH - Funeral services for Mrs. Eva V. (Sisman) Carroll of 31 Wilson Road, Portsmouth, were held from the J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel on Friday, with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at St. James Church. Father Agapit H. Jean Jr., pastor, was celebrant. Lector was Thomas Ahearn. Altar servers were Richard Ward, Jane Milette, Theresa Hickey and Joanne Greene. Organist was Jean Goss and Janet Green was vocalist. Presentation of the gifts was by Susan Vanasse and Ketti Davis Vanasse. In attendance were communicants of the church. Burial will be in Exeter Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
