Mrs. Grant was born on Dec. 3, 1924, in West Stewartstown, the daughter of the late George and Alice (Baldwin) Dewey. She was employed as a telephone operator for many years, and later worked for Tillotson Rubber Company for over 20 years. She was a homemaker and her many contributions to the Vershire Center led to its establishment. Mrs. Grant is survived by the following family members: her husband, George Grant, of Colebrook; a son, Gary Grant of Colebrook; a daughter, Miss Donna E. Grant of Colebrook; a brother, Earl Dewey of Morrisville, Vt.; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Hook of Colebrook and Mrs. Hazel Noyes of Wallingford, Conn. Calling hours were held on Sunday at the Jenkins Funeral Home. Funeral Services were conducted on Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Oliver Northcott officiating. Interment services will be held in the spring at the Colebrook Village Cemetery.
