Emery CONCORD, Vt. - Leonard W. Emery, 78, formerly of Concord Corners, died on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the son of Beulah and William Hinman, born in Lunenburg on June 23, 1922. Leonard worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for Ray O. Parker in Lyndonville, Vt. Much of his employment was dedicated to trail development at Vermont and New Hampshire ski areas. During the winter months he worked in the woods. He always loved to dance. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Emery of Mineville, N.Y.; three children, Leonard P. Emery of Las Vegas, Nev., Theresa Hovey of North Concord, Vt. and Barbara Emery of East Barre, Vt.; three sisters, Joyce Bellevance of Hardwick, Vt., Celia Hackett of Grand Isle, Vt., and Delia Lawrence of Albany, Vt. He was predeceased by one brother and three sisters, Lewis Hinman, Dorcas Bellevance, Rita Rexford, and Eva Bailey. Funeral services will be held at the Sayles Funeral Home today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. The Rev. Glen Hatch will officiate.
