Staples SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. - Mary Alice Staples died on Feb. 15, 2001 at the Life Care Center in Sierra Vista, Ariz. She was born on Aug. 19, 1909 in Twin Mountain the daughter of Fred and Annie (Burns) Staples. She later moved to Detroit, Mich., where she worked over 20 years for the Fisher Body Division of General Motors. In 1974, she retired and moved to Arizona, where she was an active member of Our Lady of the Mountains Church. Mary is survived by her sister, Esther Elliott of Ariz., three nephews, including John Staples of Twin Mountain and a niece, Betty (Staples) Gilman of Twin Mountain. Services will take place in the spring at the St. Margaret’s cemetery in Twin Mountain. Those who wish may make donations in her memory to the Building Fund at Our Lady of the Mountains Church, 1425 E. Yaqui, Sierra Vista, AZ 85650.
