Ouellette FRANKLIN - Nancy E. (Amey) Ouellette, 74, of 2 East High St., died on Feb. 22, 2001, after a long illness. She was born in Pittsburg on Sept. 20, 1928, the daughter of Holman Amey and Mary (Somers) Amey. She grew up in Pittsburg and was a graduate of Pittsburg High School. She studied at the University of New Hampshire and the University of Vermont before receiving her master's degree in education from Plymouth State College. She lived in Colebrook from 1954 to 1967 before moving to Franklin. Mrs. Ouellette Taught math, including algebra and geometry, at Franklin High School from 1967 to 1984. A lifelong Methodist, she was a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church, where she had served in different positions. She was predeceased by her only son, Daniel A. Ouellette. Family members include her husband of 46 years, Eugene F. Ouellette of Franklin; three daughters, Ann M. Annan of Paris, Texas, Carolyn J. Rose of Canandaigua, N.Y., and Theresa N. Therrien of Laconia; three grandchildren; four brothers, John Amey, Roy Amey and Paul Amey all of Pittsburg, and Mark Amey of Clarksville; and three sisters, Dottie Jane Lee of Clarksville, Maudetta Taylor of Granby, Mass., and Kathleen Ames of Lake Havasu, Ariz. A memorial service ws held at 1 p.m. on Monday in the Franklin United Methodist Church, Franklin, with pastor Carol Gray officiating. Spring burial will be in Franklin Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin Visiting Nurse Assocation, 75 Chestnut St., Franklin 03235. H.L.
