Garland NORTH HAMPTON - Robert T. Garland, 85, formerly of North Hampton, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, at the Seacoast Health Center in Hampton. He was born in Rockport, Mass., on Oct. 19, 1915, the son of the late Samuel P. and Ida (Tarr) Garland. A longtime resident of North Hampton, he was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He worked as a self-employed carpenter. A marksman sharpshooter, he held the title of state pistol and revolver champion in the 1960s. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and auto racing fan. Family members include two sisters, Virginia Fowler of Hampton and Phebe R. Mason of North Hampton; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Page Garland and Samuel P. Garland Jr. GARLAND - Robert T. Garland, 85, formerly of North Hampton, died Feb. 6, 2001. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
