Lukas, of 928 South St., died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital. She was born on Feb. 23, 1913, in Somersworth, the daughter of the late Costas and Garoufalia "Rose" (Diamond) Geranis. She was a graduate of Somersworth High School. She and her late husband John were proprietors of the former Lukas Taxi for more than 35 years. She was a member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Somersworth and the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Portsmouth. She was also a member of the Daughters of Penelope, Aglaia Chapter No. 144, and the Philoptochos Society. She was an outstanding cook and many of her recipes were used at the Lukas Another Restaurant in both Portsmouth and Hampton Falls. She was also a voracious reader. Survivors include two sons, Constantine J. Lukas of Framingham, Mass.; and Peter Lukas of Stratham; two granddaughters, Sophia G. Lukas of Hyde Park, Mass.; and Keira Lukas of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a grandson, John Nicholas Lukas of Stratham; one great-grandson, Lysandre Lukas of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. LUKAS - Mrs. Sophie (Geranis) Lukas, 87, of 928 South St., Portsmouth, died Feb. 3, 2001. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Andrew Jarvis Drive, Portsmouth. Friends invited. Visiting hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at J. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel. 84 Broad St., Portsmouth, with wake services at 7 p.m. by Father Angelo Pappas. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Memorial Fund, Andrew Jarvis Drive, Portsmouth, NH 03801; or to Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Pates Brook Road, Somersworth, NH 03878. Verne Wood Funeral Home-Buckminster Chapel on Tuesday, with services at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Portsmouth. Father Angelo Pappas, Presbyter, was celebrant. Reader was Paul Muryn. Ushers were G. Spiro Mouflouse and Andy Bosen. In attendance were members of the church; representatives from the Philoptochos Society and Daughters of Penelope, Aglaia Chapter No. 144. Also in attendance were representatives from the Governor's Executive Council. Bearers were Kevin Parker, Jeff Polizzo, Chuck Madison, Joe D. Goulis, Ron Coakley, Tim Policronis and G. Spiro Mouflouse. Burial will be in the Greek Cemetery, Somersworth, in the spring. Wake services were held at the J.
