Elliott WHITEFIELD - Catherine Elizabeth Elliott, 87, died on Saturday morning, March 17, 2001, at Weeks Medical Center, after a sudden illness. Mrs. Elliott was born in Livermore Falls on Feb. 20, 1914, the daughter of James and Emma (Fautz) Cote. She was a graduate of Hesser Business College and was employed as convention secretary at the Mountain View Hotel in Whitefield for 40 years. For many years she played the piano and performed at theaters during the days of silent movies. She also enjoyed traveling. She was a communicant of St. Matthew Church, Whitefield and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Family members include her son, Robert Elliott of Lancaster; a daughter, Phyllis Fearon of Hebron, Conn.; eight grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer F. Elliott, on March 20, 2000, and a brother, James Cote Jr. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Church in Whitefield. The Rev. George Majka, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the spring in St. Matthew Cemetery, Whitefield. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to the Whitefield Ambulance Service, P.O.
