Haines Winn LANCASTER - F. Haines Winn, 90, of Country Village Nursing Home, died on March 9, 2001, at Weeks Medical Center. He was born in Piermont on March 25, 1910, son of Hiram and Hope (Morse) Winn. He was a former resident of Piermont, Monroe, Woodsville, and Lancaster. Mr. Winn was a 1927 graduate of Haverhill Academy and ran the family dairy farm on River Road in Piermont until 1955, when he became a route salesman for Cushman and Sunbeam bakeries and IBA Farm Supplies. He later devoted much of his time and received numerous awards for his contributions to area senior services, and his volunteer services in driving people to appointments. He was a member of the Col. Town Senior Center, AARP, the Newbury Bible Church in Newbury, Vt., and the Calvary Baptist Church in Lancaster. He was predeceased by his wife, Verne Winn, on March 31, 1985; one daughter, Violet Fenoff of Whitefield and one sister, M. Katherine Woodbury of Claremont. He is survived by his companion, Jean Kenison of Lancaster; four sons, Roland H. Winn of Bow, Gerald H. Winn of Littleton, John E. Winn of Georgia, Vt., and Donald J. Winn of Nashua; one daughter, Velma R. Burke of Claremont; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Calling hours were held on Sunday, March 11 at the Ricker Funeral Home in Woodsville. A memorial service was held on Sunday in the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. David Ricker officiating. The funeral service was held on Monday at the Ricker Funeral Home in Woodsville with the Rev. Joseph Rinaldi of the Newbury Bible Church, officiating. Burial in the Ladd Street Cemetery in Haverhill will be held at the convenience of the family in the spring.
