Hodgkins GROVETON - Patricia Anne "Pat" Hodgkins, 72, of 3 Melcher Court, Groveton, died at her residence on March 27, 2001, after a brief illness. Born in Groveton on Aug. 5, 1928, the daughter of Perly and Alice (Merriam) Mayberry, she has been a lifelong resident of Groveton. She graduated from Groveton High School, class of 1945, and while in high school she played basketball. She was a member of the Groveton United Methodist Church. She was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Before retiring on Aug. 5, 1990, she worked for many years as a machine operator for Campbell Stationery. She loved dogs and always had dog bones for the area dogs. She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Robert (Edna) Styles of Groveton; and her sister-in-law, Jean Mayberry of Goffstown. She was predeceased by her husband, Sherwood Hodgkins, in 1959, and one brother, Raymond Mayberry. A memorial service will be held on April 6 at 11 a.m. at the Groveton United Methodist Church, 3 Church Street, with Pastor Lawrence Clough officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Center Stratford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Pat’s name to the Groveton United Methodist Church, 3 Church Street, Groveton, NH 03582.
