Pebbles III DALTON - Carl James Pebbles III, 51, of Dalton Road, died on Monday, April 9, 2001, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster. Mr. Pebbles was born in Concord on Sept. 3, 1949, the son of Carl James Pebbles Jr. and Pansy Hoyt. Raised in Concord, he was a graduate of Concord High School. He went on to serve in the Navy from 1969 to1972. On Sept. 30, 1972, he married Julie Locke in Concord. Shortly thereafter, in 1973, they moved to Dalton, where they had resided ever since. Carl went to work for Fitch Fuel of Lancaster and started his schooling for a plumber’s license. Eventually he acquired both master plumber and master electrician licenses and for the past 20-plus years he owned and operated Carl Pebbles Plumbing and Heating in Lancaster. He also was the landlord for two local apartment buildings. He was a member of the Groveton Moose Lodge and had close affiliations with many other local organizations. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and helping children. He was a member of 4-H as a youth, and for which he devoted time in his adult years. Family members include his wife, Julie B. (Locke) Pebbles of Dalton; a son, Carl James Pebbles IV of Manchester; a daughter, Melissa D. Pebbles of Lancaster; his mother of Concord; a brother, Robert Pebbles of Concord; three sisters, Peggy Alquist of Concord, Carol Hegarty of Amesbury, Mass., and Carrie Joe Maxham-Murphy of Penacook; and one granddaughter. He was predeceased by his father. There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in his memory to the Carl Pebbles Trust Fund, c/o Siwooganock Bank, 117 Main Street, Lancaster, NH 03584 or to charitable organizations for childhood diseases or cancer.
