She was born on July 24, 1928 in Holland, a daughter of Myrtie Belle Woodard and the late Joseph Provoncha. Dorothy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lyndon State College and later a Master's of Education degree from the University of Connecticut. She enjoyed gardening and photography. She was the niece of Fred Woodard of East Colebrook. She is survived by her siblings; Stanley Provoncha and wife Marge of Medical Lake, Wash., Madeline Provoncha Dickson and husband Mike of Hardwick, June Provoncha of Palm Bay, Fla., Dale Provoncha and wife Sharon of Westfield, Wayne Provoncha and wife Louise of Newport, Shirley Provoncha Achilles and husband Everett of St. Johnsbury, and Larry Provoncha and wife Carmelita; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph Provoncha, on October 12, 1993 and by her siblings, Margaret and Rod Provoncha. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
