(Austin) Chadburn, 63, of Main Street in Concord, Vt., died at home on Sunday, April 22, 2001, with family members by her side. She was born in Lyndon, Vt. on Nov. 18, 1937, the daughter of William C. and Ruth (Moulton) Austin. Before the days of professional day care, Emily cared for many of Concord’s children at her home. While her family was growing up, she was active in the Girl Scouts and the Cub Scouts. She loved playing bingo, knitting and playing cards with her grandchildren. She is survived by her companion, Harold "Chick" Morton of Concord; her children, Star Lunnie of Concord, William "Bill" Chadburn of North Concord, Carol Mitchell of Waterford, Vt. and Bonnie Leithead of Lyndonville, Vt.; nine grandsons, one brother, Allen Albright, of Bunnell, Fla.; and one sister, Lois Shea of Manchester, N.H. She was predeceased by a brother, Ellis Austin. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at the Sayles Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin A. Richardson officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Grove Cemetery in East St. Johnsbury. There will be no public visiting hours. Memorial contributions may be directed to Concord FAST Squad, P.O.
