Born in Berlin, he moved to Florida 14 years ago. Mr. Steady worked as an electronics technician. He was a member of Sabatis Masonic Lodge 73, Gorham; the Scottish Rite bodies (32nd degree Freemason); Bahia Shrine Temple, Orlando; Mid-Florida Lakes High Twelve Club; and Lake County Shrine Club in Tavaras, Fla. Family members include his wife, Betsy-Jane Steady of Leesburg; two sons, Peter C. Steady of Milan and Paul E. Steady of Manchester; and two grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the local hospice.
