Harrigan, Publisher (Apr 11, 2001 -issue) "All the news that fits" FORMATTED: by CParziale, Apr 2001 ***************************************************************************** John Edward Daley LEMINGTON, Vt. - John Edward Daley, 59, of 2381 River Road in Lemington, Vt. died on April 4, 2001, at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster. Mr. Daley was born on Nov. 4, 1941, in West Stewartstown, the son of the late Edward P. and Almore (Owen) Daley. He was self-employed as a farmer and woodsman. He was very involved in town affairs, serving as a Lemington town selectman for many years. He also served as the fire warden, taking the position over from his father, and recently as a Justice of Peace and as town lister. Mr. Daley was an avid sportsman and hunter. He had an excellent sense of humor and was considered a good man. He will also be remembered for his devotion to his parents and also to his aunts and uncles. He was a member of St. Brendan’s Catholic Church. Mr. Daley is survived by two brothers, Peter Arthur Daley of Springfield, Va., and Robert Earle Owen of Stewartstown. There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be conducted in the spring at Lemington Village Cemetery by the Rev. Albert Bellefeuille. Date and time of the services will be announced at a later date.
