JOHNSBURY, Vt. - Leona May Brock, 78, Danville, Vt., died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. She was born in Laconia, NH on May 1, 1922, the daughter of George and Amanda (Derochers) Roberts Sr. and attended school in Berlin, NH and Walden, Vt. Mrs. Brock had worked for Crawford House, Lisbon Furniture and Burndy Corporation in New Hampshire and at Palmer Brothers Dry Cleaners and Sunshine Laundromat, all in St. Johnsbury. She delivered papers for the Caledonian Record and Burlington Free Press, drove school bus for Peacham, Vt., and drove bus for the St. Johnsbury Community School. She married Foster W. Hastie in 1942, who died in 1951. In 1953 she married Hamilton C. Brock, who died in 1965. Two brothers, George and Raymond, and one sister, Georgianna, predeceased Mrs. Brock. Surviving relatives include two sons, Stephen H. Brock and Lyle R. Brock, both of Danville, Vt.; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Linda) Nunn, of Groton, Vt., and Mrs. Russ (Deborah C.) Jaroch, of Lancaster, NH; five grandchildren, Timothy Nunn and wife Alicia, of Northfield, Vt., William Nunn, of E. Ryegate, Vt., Mathew Nunn, of Groton, Vt., Jeffrey Johnson and companion Heidi of Lancaster, N.H., and Crystal Johnson and companion Shane, of Rhode Island; four great grandchildren, Kelly and Kevin Nunn and Michell and Jacob Johnson; one brother, Albert Roberts, St. Johnsbury; Vt.; one sister-in-law, Leona Roberts, Peacham, Vt.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A calling hour was held Monday, April 16, at the Ricker Funeral Home in Woodsville. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 17 at the funeral home.
