Born in Leominster, Mass., he had resided in Kingsport for the past 25 years. Before moving to Colebrook in 1967, he and his twin brother owned barbershops in Littleton, Mass. Although he owned several businesses during his years in Colebrook, Mr. Sambito was best known as proprietor of the Colebrook House. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy. He was a member of the Charles DeWitt Byrd Post No. 3382 of the V.F.W., and had also been the general manager of the V.F.W. Post. He was also a member of many other clubs and organizations. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son; a sister and four brothers. Mr. Sambito is survived by two daughters, Debra King of West Brookfield, Mass. and Sheryl Manchester of Spokane, Wash.; a son, Randy Sambito of Church Hill, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Julie Furbush of Kingsport, Tenn., Camille Posco and Virginia Salvi, both of Leominster, Mass.; a nephew, Bill Sambito, of Colebrook; and many other nieces and nephews. Calling hours and services were held on Tuesday, April 10 in Kingsport. A Libera Service will be conducted on Friday, April 13 at 11 a.m. at the Jenkins Funeral Home, with responsory prayers offered by the Reverend Albert Bellefeuille. Inter-ment services will be held in the spring at St. Brendanšs Catholic Cemetery, date and time to be announced. Local arrangements are under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home.
