Joyce GROTON - Ronald Arthur Joyce, 77, of River Road, died April 14, 2001, at his home. He was born in West Stewartstown on April 5, 1924, the son of Charles and Annie M. (Hopkins) Joyce. Mr. Joyce had been a resident of the Groton area for the past six years. Prior to that he had been a resident of Franklin, Mass., for many years. He had retired from Bird and Sons in Walpole, Mass., after 33 years of employment. He was a member of the Local Teamsters Union in Massachusetts. He was an Army veteran World War II and had served in the European Theater. Mr. Joyce was married to Colleen (Burrows) Joyce, who died in 1980. Family members include two sons, George E. Steel of Clarksville, Tenn., and Gary R. Steel of Groton; two grandchildren; and one brother, Irving Joyce of Grantham, Mass.
