BARBARA CURRIER


Barbara (Merrow) Currier, 83, of Center Ossipee, died on Sunday, May
27, 2001 at the Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro. 

Born on September 9, 1917, in Center Ossipee, she was the daughter of
the late Llewellyn G. and Margaret (Curtin) Merrow and lived in Center
Ossipee all of her life. 

Mrs. Currier worked as a telephone operator for AT&T for many years,
as well as for Malone Knitting Mills, Bald Peak Resort and Davidson
Rubber. She was predeceased by a son, Edwin P. Brownell, and a 
brother, former Congressman Chester E. Merrow. She is survived by her
husband, Cortland A. Currier, of Center Ossipee; her daughter and
son-in-law, Kathleen (Brownell) and Robert E. Anderson of Diamond
Pond; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grand-children and five
great-great-grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 31 at the Chickville
Cemetery in Ossipee. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Homes and Cremation
Service of West Ossipee and Wolfeboro are in charge of arrangements.
