(Gadwah) Kelsea, 91, of 201 Main Street, Colebrook, died on Thursday morning, May 24, 2001 at the Coös County Nursing Hospital. She was born on Aug. 6, 1909 in Columbia, the daughter of the late Harley and Eva (McCullough) Gadwah. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and, through her affiliation with the Trinity United Methodist Church, she was a member of the Women’s League. She is survived by her two sons, Oscar G. Kelsea Jr., of Lexington Park, Md. and Charles M. Kelsea, of Sun City Center, Fla.; three sisters, Madeleine Parkhurst of Columbia, Dorothy DeCapot of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lucy Mullarkey of Newburyport, Mass.; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. Her husband, Oscar G. Kelsea Sr. died in 1965. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Gadwah and Durwood Gadwah. Calling hours were held on May 28 at the Jenkins Funeral Home. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, May 29, at the Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kathryn McGregor officiating. Interment services followed at the Colebrook Village Cemetery.
