Lauzon, 87, died on Monday morning, May 7, 2001, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster. Mr. Lauzon was born in Chartierville, Quebec on April 26, 1914, the son of Edmond and Corrine (Gregorie) Lauzon. Raised in Canada, he worked as a woodsman his whole life. In 1945, he married Louise J. Couture at St. Albert’s Church in Stewartstown. For several years they resided in Groton, Vt., and for over 40 years have lived in Jefferson. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, and watching baseball and Jeopardy on television. Family members include his wife of Jefferson; two sons, Yvan Lauzon of Jefferson, and Michael Lauzon of Groton, Vt.; a daughter, S. Marguerite Davis of Whitefield; 13 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers and five sisters, who all reside in Canada. He was predeceased by a daughter, Hughette Lauzon, in 1959, and a son, Antonio Lauzon, in 1998. He was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Jefferson. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday evening, May 9, from 7-9 p.m. at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, Jefferson. The Rev. John Mazzei, pastor, will officiate.
