Included in the USGenWeb Archives with permission. http://seacoastonline.com Lisa Boston Frye Legion Auxiliary, good friend Lisa Boston Frye, 45, of 207 Boyd’s Corner Rd., South Berwick, died Friday June 29, 2001 at York Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Portsmouth, NH February 8, 1956, she was the daughter of Quentin R. and Virginia (Beem) Boston. She was a resident of South Berwick most of her life. Lisa was a graduate of Marshwood High School, class of 1974 and attended the College of Lifelong Learning at the University of New Hampshire. She worked for Developmental Services for six years and for the past four years has been an operator employed by Verizon at its Dover operations facility. She was a member of Rollinsford American Legion Post Auxiliary and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 2320 AFL-CIO. Her loving and outgoing spirit yielded her many wonderful friends throughout her life. Family members include her husband of seven years, Russell H. “Rusty” Frye, Jr. of South Berwick; her parents of Lady Lake, FL; two daughters, Wendy R. Fanta of Charlotte, NC, and Meagan L. Tribunella of South Berwick; one son, Russell H. Frye III of South Berwick; three sisters including her twin sister, Lynn M. Boston of Winthrop, MA, Rhonda J. Mandato of Dover, and Pamela A. Wright of Norfolk, VA; one brother, Christopher J. Boston of Renssalaer, NY; one granddaughter, Rebecca E. Fanta of Charlotte, NC; an aunt, an uncle, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, David Q. Boston in 1981. Funeral services were at the McIntire-McCooey Funeral Home with The Reverend Donna Lee Muise, pastor of First Parish Federated Church, officiating. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery, South Berwick. Funeral arrangements were with McIntire-McCooey Funeral Home, 301 Main St., South Berwick. Winston Hammond, Jr. Veteran, avid golfer, DHS fan Winston Dwight Hammond Jr., 75, of 1 Redden St., died Thursday, June 28, 2001 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Born July 7, 1925 in Claremont, he was the son of the late Winston D. and Margarite (Duncan) Hammond, Sr. Mr. Hammond was a graduate of Windsor High School, Windsor, VT class of 1943. During WW II he served in the United States Navy following which he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College, Springfield, MA in 1951. A resident of Dover for the past 40 years, he was a nuclear inspector at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard for 32 years, retiring in 1990. He was an avid golfer, who frequently played at Sunnydale Country Club. He also enjoyed cards and Dover High School athletics. Surviving family members include his wife, Dorothy E. (Pomeroy) Hammond of Dover whom he married July 2, 1955; one son and his wife, David and Natalia Hammond of Dover; two daughters, Diane Hammond and her partner Cathy Maloney of Northwood and Deidre Araujo and her husband Luis Araujo of Quincy, MA; five grandsons, Ian S. Hammond, Samuel J. Hammond, and Nathan D. Hammond, all of Dover, Hunter J. Araujo and Jeffrey Dagraca of Quincy, MA; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Davis Hammond and two sisters, Phyllis Kavenagh and Barbara Sheehan. Graveside services were at Pine Hill Cemetery with The Reverend Robert Lamson, retired minister of Middle Street Baptist Church of Portsmouth, officiating. Pauline E. Boodey Dairy farmer, loving mother Pauline E. Boodey, 79, of 43 Canaan Back Rd., Barrington died Tuesday June 26, 2001 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital, Rochester. Born in Rutland, Vt. August 28, 1921 the daughter of Phillip and Marguerite (Bulley) Beauchain. Pauline and her husband were life long dairy farmers. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her animals. She was the widow of Ralph J. Boodey who died July 14, 1987. Pauline was a member of the Barrington Historical Society, The Canaan Chapel Association and The New Hampshire Farm Bureau. She will be remembered by her family as a caring and loving mother. Family members includes one son, Philip Boodey and his wife Karen of Barrington, two daughters, Julia Mundy and her husband Floyd of Sutton, and Susan Camire and her husband Michael of Barrington, seven grandchildren, John Boodey, Patrick and Shannan Boodey, Michael Boodey and Timothy Boodey, Rebecca and Forest Page, Sarah and Adam Earle and Deborah and Robert Radford, and four great-grandchildren, Molly and Erin Boodey and Nate and Matt Page, and several nieces and nephews. Pauline was predeceased by her parents and her two brothers, John and Gerald Beauchain. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at the Chapel of Nativity, 212 Route 9, with The Reverend John Poirier, associate pastor, as celebrant. Burial followed in the family cemetery.
