Fitzgerald - Veteran, businessman Frank S. Fitzgerald, 95, formerly of Smoke St., Barrington and more recently a resident of the SunBridge Health Care of Exeter died Wednesday July 11, 2001 at the Exeter Hospital. Born in Woburn, MA on January 17, 1906 the son of Francis and Annie (Stewart) Fitzgerald. He grew up in and attended schools in Woburn, and came to Barrington 35 years ago. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II having served in the 182nd Infantry. Prior to his retirement he owned and operated a taxi cab business in Woburn. Frank was a communicant of the Chapel of the Nativity of Barrington. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Marie C. (Wetzel) Fitzgerald, of Exeter, a step-son William R. DeWitte of Palm Harbor Florida, a grandson Jesse DeWitte of Carlton, MN, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters Helen Cullen, Catherine Brenner and Ann Reardon. A graveside funeral service was held at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Barrington, with The Reverend Thomas Coover of the Chapel of the Nativity officiating. Funeral arrangements were with Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover. Irma Sessler - Dedicated wife, mother Irma E. Sessler, 82, of 1 Morning St., Somersworth, died Monday July 9, 2001 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital following a short illness. Born in South St. Paul, MN on April 20, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Marie (Hempel) Schuessler. Mrs. Sessler was a resident of this area since 1986 when she moved here from Lynn, MA where she had lived since 1945. She was a graduate of South St. Paul, MN High School, class of 1937. She was retired from Kline Ladder Co. of Lynn. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Newington where she was a member of the arts and crafts group. Her family remembers her as a loving and dedicated wife and mother. Family members include her husband, Carl W. Sessler whom she married June 4, 1943 of Somersworth; four daughters, Cheryl A. Sessler of Jamaica Plain, MA, Marion A. Kaszuba of Atlanta, GA, Susan P. Sessler fo Anderson of South St. Paul, MN; one brother, Carl Rudich of Inver Grove, MN; five grandchildren, William Wyman IV and Sarah Wyman of Newton, MA, Karsten Kaszuba of Boulder Dam, CO, Jared Laszuba of St. Petersburg, FL, and Adalia Sessler of Dover. She was predeceased by a daughter, Dorine R. Sessler, by four brothers, Ernest Schuessler, Albert Schuessler, John Schuessler, and Arthur Schuessler and one sister, Annie Schuessler. Funeral services were at the funeral home with The Reverend Linn A. Opderbecke, pastor, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Newington officiating. Burial followed in Forest Glade Cemetary, Somersworth. Kathleen Vanasse - Legionnaire, Moose Kathleen Ann Vanasse, 48, of 24 Polly Ann Trailer Park, died Monday July 9, 2001 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital following a sudden illness. Born in Bristol CT July 30, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Floyd A. and Frances A. (Varney) Harriman. She moved to this area in 1965 and had previously lived in Rochester and Farmington. Kathy was a graduate of Dover High School, class of 1970. She worked 18 years at Jarvis Cutting and had been employed the last four months at Conproco of Dover. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #8 of Dover and the Women of the Loyal Order of Moose #567. Family members include her husband, Gerald E. Vanasse of Dover whom she married May 30, 1992; one son, Ernie W. Richards of Dover; one daughter, Karie A. Brooks of Milton, Donald Harriman of Eliot, ME, Dennis Harriman of Barrington, Scot Harriman of Rochester; sisters, Linda S. Glidden of Dover, and Roxanne Leavy of Farmington; three grandchildren, Ryan J. Couch of Milton, Nevin R. Grondin of Milton and Jade L. Brooks of Milton; several nieces and nephews. A graveside committal service was conducted at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth.
