Irene Talbot McLellan Lived full life Heaven opened its doors to a Camden woman Friday, August 3. And when it did it was flooded with the brightness of 1,000 stars, the wit of 100 comedians and the strength and character that angels are made of. Irene Talbot McLellan passed away of Mesothelioma, a lung cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. In Irene’s own words she insisted. “don’t be sad, I’ve had a full life, with really neat friends, great children and loved by the most decent, caring man a woman could ever ask for. Don’t think of me as dying, I’m just taking a one-way trip without a suitcase... I’ll see you all soon!” She leaves behind her five children Beth, Meg Cyr, of Dover, Amy, Chip and Tod, 11 grandchildren, some of her dreams and schemes for them all, the loving memory of her husband, William Arthur McLellan, MD; and the colorful, quilted array of friends that she pieced together with love, kindness and fun. Heaven has found a keeper in the life of Irene Talbot McLellan. As Heaven’s doors open, one last note was attached. One yellow paper, written with sunlight were the words... Dearest Peg, My arms are wide open. Love Bill Eleanor Anne Tower Dedicated homemaker Eleanor A.
