Permission received to include in the USGenWeb Archives. George V. Dietz KINGSTON -- George V. Dietz, 69, of MacMillan Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, in Exeter Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Long Island, N.Y., the son of the late George and Marian (Kreiselmier) Dietz, and had resided in Kingston since 1960. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Dietz was a self-employed consultant drafting engineer in the New England area. He was an active member of the Kingston Veterans Club. He had an avid interest in designing, building and racing sprint cars. The widower of Philomena F. Dietz, who died June 1, 2000, he is survived by one son, Timothy M. Dietz of Jacksonville, Fla.; four daughters, Barbara I. Boyle of Brookline, Mari-Jo Yanus of Hampstead, Pamela A. Dietz of Manchester and Beth F. Tuttle of Rye; and four grandsons. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter, followed by funeral services at 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Barbara A. Grabowski WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Barbara A. Grabowski, 57, of 370 Amostown, Road, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Seacoast Health Center, Hampton. She was born Dec. 1, 1943, in Dorchester, Mass., the daughter of the late William and Isabell (Thompson) Furber. She had resided in Raymond for 19 years moving to West Springfield in 1998. She was a graduate of Dorchester High School. Mrs. Grabowski worked for the former Bailey Corporation in Seabrook for many years. She is survived by one son, Craig Grabowski of Lisbon; one daughter, Cheryl M. St. Martin of West Springfield; two grandchildren; and one brother, Bill Furber of South Boston. Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Rosebell E. Gordon RAYMOND -- Rosebell E. Gordon, 89, died Feb. 12, 2001, in Exeter Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 23, 1912, the daughter of the late Josiah F. and Rosebell (Prescott) Gordon, in the family home at 41 Chester Road, where she resided all her life. She was a 1931 graduate of Raymond High School. Miss Gordon worked for Bourque Shoe in Raymond and Klev-Bro Shoe in Derry for many years. She worked for Rockingham Foods & Nutrition Meals on Wheels Program for two years. She was a member of Raymond Congregational Church and was a volunteer with the Raymond Ambulance Corps. She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Jean and Edward Moulton of Raymond and David and Joanne Gordon of Fremont. She was predeceased by two brothers, Josiah R. Gordon and Andrew J. Gordon; and two sisters, Ruby Colligan and Helen Gordon, all of Raymond. There are no calling hours. Memorial services will be held in Raymond Congregational Church at a later date. Sullivan, 51, of Blueberry Hill Road, died suddenly Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, in Elliot Hospital, Manchester, after a lengthy illness. He was born April 9, 1949, in Boston, the son of Anne R. (Rennie) Sullivan of Hingham, Mass., and the late Paul J. Sullivan. He resided in Raymond for 16 years. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 18 years, Diane (Cavanaugh) Sullivan of Raymond; two sons, Matthew J. Sullivan and Ryan C. Sullivan, both of Raymond; three brothers, Paul D. Sullivan of Taunton, Mass., Dennis F. Sullivan of Plymouth, Mass. and Mark S. Sullivan of Hingham; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, On the Common, Raymond. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Kwan Lee officiating. Howard, 92, of the Sharon Retirement Home died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, after a lengthy illness. He was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Strafford, the son of the late Harry W. and Sadie (Gray) Howard, and resided in Raymond for more than 30 years before moving to Deerfield. He attended Crown Point Grammar School and Austin Cate Academy in Strafford, Providence Bible Institute, Providence, R.I., and Gordon College, Wrentham, Mass. Mr. Howard was a lookout watchman for the state on Pawtuckaway Mountain in Nottingham for many years. He was a member of Raymond Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and taught Sunday school. He held bible studies in several homes in the area. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Geraldine C. Howard of Deerfield; two foster daughters, Katherine I. Lemmons of Kennewick, Wash., and Gail M. Lampros of Bath, Maine; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Charpentier of Somersworth; one brother, Fred G. Howard of Farmington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held Thursday in First Crown Point Baptist Church, Strafford, with Pastor Michael Chouinard of Raymond officiating. Spring burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery, Strafford. Arrangements are by the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond. Ruth E. Kelley FREMONT -- Ruth E. Kelley, 89, of Kelley Lane, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, in Exeter Hospital after a brief illness. She was born March 7, 1911, in East Hampstead, the daughter of the late Perley and Emiline (Moulton) Collins and had resided in Fremont for more than 50 years. Mrs. Kelley was a Gold Star Mother, having lost a son, Raymond Kelley, during the Korean Conflict when he was 18 years old. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by one granddaughter, Ruth Ann Annis of Lee; one grandson, Kevin Newell of Lee; two sisters, Iva Leith of Haverhill, Mass., and Gladys Houle of East Hampstead; two brothers, Robert Collins of Manchester and Melvin Collins of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Carolyn Stewart, who died in 1982. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond, with Richard Porter officiating. Spring burial will be in Village Cemetery, Fremont. Gordon H. Hansen CANDIA -- Gordon "Skip" Hansen, 51, of High Street, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at his home. He was born Dec. 7, 1949, in Beverly, Mass., the son of Roger and Lorraine (Wells) Hansen. He was raised in Danvers, Mass., and resided in Raymond for 28 years before moving to Candia six years ago. He was a graduate of Danvers High School and attended Northshore College in 1969. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Hansen owned and operated Skip and Sons Creative Carpentry for 28 years. He was a member of the Fellowship in Christ Church, Raymond. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Florence (Lil) Hansen of Candia; three sons, Eric Hansen, Skip Hansen and Luke Hansen, all of Raymond; four daughters, Rachel Hansen of Manchester, Stacie Mimeault of Springfield, Mass., Tracie L. Carrier of Enfield, Conn., and Malissa J. Small of West Springfield, Mass.; six grandchildren; one brother, Barry Hansen of Littleton; one sister, Heidi A. Collins of Danvers; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one son, Seth Hansen, who died August 2, 2000. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Fellowship in Christ Church, Raymond, with the Rev. Harold Small officiating. After cremation scattering of ashes will be at the convenience of the family.
