Permission received to include in the USGenWeb Archives. Theresa M. Bradbrook KINGSTON -- Theresa May Bradbrook, 80, of Exeter Road, died Friday, March 2, 2001, in Somerville (Mass.) Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born Aug. 28, 1920, in Everett, Mass., the daughter of the late Frederick and Mildred (Dulong) Hemeon and had resided in Kingston for 37 years. She was a 1938 graduate of Everett High School. Mrs. Bradbrook was an operator for the I.B.M. Computer Co., Boston, for several years and later worked as an aide at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood. She was a member of Brentwood Baptist Church and the Exeter Walking Club. The widow of Robert Bradbrook, who died March 15, 2000, she is survived by one daughter, Susan Pescione of Everett; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five sisters; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Teddy White, who died in 1987; one daughter, Patricia McLaughlin, who died in 1999; one sister; and two brothers. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Exeter. Spring burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Kingston. John Flanagan EXETER -- John "Jack" Flanagan, 64, of Nottingham Drive, died Monday, March 5, 2001, at his home. He was born Aug. 2, 1936, in Stoneham, Mass., the son of the late Basil and Greta (Cullen) Flanagan. Mr. Flanagan was a machinist at Western Electric/AT&T retiring in 1990 after 28 years of service. Following his retirement he was a machinist at New Hampshire Machine Products of Exeter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Bailey) Flanagan; six sons, Thomas, Dennis, Robert and Brian Flanagan, all of Amesbury, Mass., Michael Flanagan of South Hampton and John Flanagan of Kingston; one stepdaughter, Caroline Goldrick of New York City; one stepson, Rene Masse of Raymond; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Robert Flanagan of Alaska; and the mother of his children, Florence Flanagan. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday in St. Joseph Church, Amesbury. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family. Green, 81, of 10 Shady Lane, died February 28, 2001, at the Hannah Dustin House Health Center, Haverhill, Mass. He was born in Worcester, Mass., and had resided in Saugus, Mass., before moving to Sandown in 1964. He was educated in Worcester schools and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Green was a master machinist and electrician at the Charlestown Naval Shipyard, Boston, retiring in 1973. He was a NASCAR race fan and avid golfer and enjoyed building remote control model airplanes. He is survived by one daughter, Mary E. Tibbetts of Fremont; one son, Philip S. Green of Exeter; one granddaughter; two brothers, Charles Green of Worcester and Paul Green of Oxford, Mass.; two sisters, Martha Doane of Mosheim, Tenn., and Barbara Ranta of Lake Worth, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Longazel RAYMOND -- Elizabeth May Longazel, 67, of Wight St., died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, after a lengthy illness. She was born May 31, 1933, in Newport, R.I., the daughter of the late John G. and Elizabeth (Clinton) Bradfield. Mrs. Longazel and her late husband, who was a U.S. Army recruiter, traveled all over the country until 1964 when she moved to Nashua and shortly after settled in Raymond. She was a member of the Maple Wheadon Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 4479 of Raymond. The widow of John Longazel, who died in 1973, she is survived by three sons, John Longazel and Dale Longazel, both of Ft. Worth, Tex., and Michael Longazel of Newport; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, John Bradfield and Gilbert Bradfield, both of Newport and William Bradfield of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and her companion of many years, George "Skidder" Brown of Raymond. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond. Newell, 2, son of Gary S. and Valerie F. (Blinn) Newell, died Thursday, March 1, 2001, in Exeter Hospital. He was born Aug. 7, 1998 and was a student at the Richie McFarland Center, Stratham. He loved to draw, ride his bicycle and have fun with his family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Kenneth; three sisters, Alicia of Florida, Jessica of Haverhill and Annie Rose; his grandparents, John A. Newell of Gardiner, Maine, Patricia J. Blinn of Raymond, and Elizabeth L. Beebe of Raymond; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by one grandmother, Barbara (Trudeau) Newell. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 10, at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Route 27, Brentwood. Pleadwell Jr., 69, of 9 Crawford Ave., died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Manchester. He was born Aug. 13, 1931, in Georgetown, Mass., the son of Dorothy L. (Chase) Pleadwell of Exeter and the late George E. Pleadwell Sr., and lived most of his life in Georgetown before moving to Haverhill, Mass. He had resided in Exeter since 1990. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving aboard the USS Worcester during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Pleadwell was a laborer in the construction business and had worked for several area general contractors. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a member of American Legion Post No. 211 of Georgetown. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Scott Pleadwell and Paul Pleadwell, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; one daughter, Lee A. Haley of Kingston; three grandchildren; one brother, Norman A. Pleadwell of Exeter; one sister, Faye A. Lord of Exeter; and several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Georgetown. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Smith RAYMOND -- Irene Rose (Greenwood) Smith, 76, of 1 Cyrus Court, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born Oct. 2, 1924, in Derry, the oldest of 14 children of the late Henry W. and Delia M. (McLaughlin) Greenwood. She was a graduate of Raymond High School and was the Raymond High School Carnival Queen in 1942. Mrs. Smith was a dietitian at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, for 16 years. She was formerly the hot lunch supervisor at Raymond High School and was employed by GTE Sylvania in Exeter for 17 years. She was selected as the Homemaker of the Year in N.H. by the Manchester Union Leader in 1956. She was Employee of the Year at the nursing home in 1989 and was Employee of the Year for the State of N.H. Association of Counties in 1990. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Raymond; a member of the United Methodist Church Women's Society; and the Order of the Eastern Star in Candia. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking and was well known at the Deerfield Fair for her crochet work. The widow of Donald C. Smith, who died in 1994, she is survived by two sons, Donald C. Smith Jr. and Nelson "Butch" Smith, both of Raymond; three daughters, Audrey J. Veino of Osteen, Fla., Barbara A. Fernald of Nottingham and Beverly J. Wright of Candia; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilfred "Buck" Greenwood of Raymond; three sisters, Eva Brown of Epping, and Helen Cammette and Lily Clifford both of Raymond; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Yvonne Gagnon and Doris Charter; and four borhters, J. Henry Greenwood, D. Francis "Pete" Greenwood, Robert C. Greenwood and Frederick M. Greenwood. Funeral services were held Wednesday in the United Methodist Church, Raymond, with the Rev. J. Chandler Newton officiating. Spring burial will be in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond.
