Bartlett, 82, of Morrill Place, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Harborside Healthcare, Amesbury, following a lengthy illness. She was born Dec. 24, 1918, in Derry, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary O. (Soucy) Maranda. She had resided in Amesbury for three years, formerly living in Kingston and Derry for many years. She is survived by two daughters, June-Marie Peterson of Allenstown and Janice Janes of Newton; one son, Russel F. Signor of California; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 25 at 11 a.m. in Hillside Cemetery, East Kingston. Arrangements are by the Peabody Funeral Home, Derry. For more information visit www.peabodyfuneralhome.webatonce.com. Celia A. Cheney KINGSTON -- Celia A. Cheney, 80, of Cheney Road, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born Feb. 27, 1921, in Cherryfield, Maine, the daughter of the late Fred and Lydia (Willey) Farnsworth. She resided in Waltham, Mass., for three years and had been a Kingston resident for the last 50 years. She was a graduate of Cherryfield Academy. Mrs. Cheney was employed by Raytheon in the defense department during World War II. She was active with the Danville Baptist Church and the Plaistow Baptist Church. She was a talented artist specializing in water colors, wood working and fabric design and was a fantastic cook. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lawrence "Bud" Cheney of Kingston; one daughter, Nancy Griffin of Kingston; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Joanne Strout of Warren, Maine; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children who died at birth, and one brother, Leamon Farnsworth. Calling hours will be held Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral home, 14 Pine St., Exeter. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Kingston. Hayward, 80, of North Main St., died Monday, April 16, 2001, at the Partridge House, Hampton, after a period of failing health. She was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Danvers, Mass., the daughter of the late Torleif F. and Hanna N. (Andersen) Hansen and had resided in Raymond since 1969 coming from Saugus, Mass. Mrs. Hayward was a lab technician at Lynn (Mass.) Hospital for 10 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking. The widow of William J. Hayward, who died in 1987, she is survived by one son, Kenneth Hayward of Candia; one daughter, June Toto of Nashua; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Brewitt Funeral Home, Raymond. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond. Lazure, 87, of 117 North Road, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 25, 1913, in Lowell, Vt., the daughter of the late Clarence H. and Annie B. (Carter) Rogers and had resided in Kingston for many years. She was a graduate of Lowell High School. Mrs. Lazure was a waitress at DeBurrows Restaurant in Haverhill, Mass. She is survived by two sons, Peter B. Lazure of Kingston and Norman H. Lazure of Arlington, Mass.; six grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanne DeMayo of Haverhill and Marie Monroe of Greenfield Center, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, John Parkinson. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. McGloughlin NOTTINGHAM -- Kevin J. McGloughlin, 46, of Lavoie Drive, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at his home after a period of failing health. He was born Sept. 14, 1954, in Boston, the son of the late Gerard and Catherine (Manning) McGloughlin. He was raised in Boston and had resided in Newmarket for 20 years before moving to Nottingham two years ago. He also owned a home in Tamworth. Mr. McGloughlin owned and operated McGloughlin Painting in Newmarket for more than 20 years. He restored sports cars, sponsored a Sunday evening men's league basketball team, and enjoyed snowmobiling. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lou Ann (Hubbard) McGloughlin of Nottingham; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tricia A. and Matthew Orcutt of Manchester, Jill M. and Frederick Dorestant of Plaistow and Keri J. McGloughlin of Nottingham; two grandchildren; three brothers, Richard McGloughlin of Boston, Gerard McGloughlin Jr. of Dedham, Mass., and Peter McGloughlin of West Roxbury, Mass.; one sister, Janet Wallace of North Berwick, Maine; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, John McGloughlin, who died in 1986. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday in St. Mary Church, Newmarket, with the Rev. John Finnigan as celebrant.
