Kelley, 80, of Pow Wow River Road, died Tuesday, July 17, 2001, in Catholic Medical Center, Manchester. She was born Oct. 4, 1920, the daughter of the late Benjamin E. and M. Helen (DeCou) Farr. She was raised in Flemington, N.J., and had resided in East Kingston for 50 years. She was a graduate of Woodbury High School, Salem, and of Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill. Mrs. Kelley taught grade school in Brentwood, Newton, Fremont and East Kingston. She was a founding member and first president of the East Kingston Parent-Teachers Association and held county and state positions for the Parent-Teachers Association; a member of the Christian Women's Club, Hampton; a 4-H Club leader; and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a volunteer and board member of the Pregnancy Care Center in Haverhill, Mass. Mrs. Kelley and her late husband owned and operated Pow Wow Poultry Farm in East Kingston for many years. The widow of Richard G. Kelley, she is survived by one son, Alan A. Kelley of Barrington; three daughters, Grace K. Powers of Lewisville, Tex., Martha M. Comeau of Ayer, Mass., and Evelyn K. Brace of East Kingston; 12 grandchildren; one brother, Benjamin E. Farr Jr. of Athens, Tex.; one sister, Mabel M. Rogers of Medfield, Mass., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Mildred Travis. Calling hours will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Haverhill Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 284 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill. Private burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem. Flowers are acceptable or memorial donations may be made to the Pregnancy Care Center, 496 Main St., Haverhill, MA 01830. Martha E. Cossar KINGSTON -- Martha E. (Durling) Cossar, 91, of Pow Wow River Road, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at SunBridge of Exeter. She was born Jan. 16, 1910, in Aylesford, Nova Scotia, the daughter of the late Egbert S. and Zilpha S. (Seamone) Durling. She came to the United States in 1929, settling in the Natick, Mass., area. She resided in Belmont and West Boxford, Mass., before moving to Kingston in 1974. She was educated in Nova Scotia schools. Mrs. Cossar was a tester at the former Western Electric, now Lucent Technologies, retiring after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Portland Street Baptist Church, Haverhill, Mass. The widow of Keith E. Cossar, she is survived by one son and his wife, Everett L. "Larry" and Shirley Cossar of East Kingston; one daughter and her husband, Susan J. and Roger Preston of Canaan, Vt.,; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. William J.Letoile, Jr. HAMPSTEAD -- Police Chief William J. Letoile Jr. 70, died Monday, July 16, 2001, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born Nov. 29, 1930, in Manchester the son of the late William J. Sr. and Kathryn H. (Ayer) Letoile. He was educated in Hampstead schools and was a 1948 graduate of Hampstead High School and a 1952 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor of science degree in forestry. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as a sergeant before his discharge in 1954. Chief Letoile was associated with the Hampstead Police Department for 39 years and for 47 years he worked at Letoile Roofing Co., Inc., Haverhill, Mass., a family business established by his grandfather Louis Letoile. He coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball teams; served on the Hampstead School Board for six years; was past president of the Greater Hampstead Civic Club; served on the board of directors of the Family Savings Bank of New Hampshire; was treasurer and past president of the Haverhill Rotary Club; a life member of the Rockingham County Law Enforcement Officers Association, where he was currently serving as treasurer; and was a member of the New Hampshire Chiefs of Police Association. He is survived by his wife of 32 years. June E. (Dyer) Letoile; three sons and their wives, Glenn and Jill Cutting of White River Junction, Vt., and William G. and Jenni Letoile and Michael and Lisa Cutting all of Hampstead; three daughters and their husbands, Beth Anne and Daniel Rose and Karen and Kenneth Smith all of Hampstead and Deborah and Michael Wolfe of Merrimack; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Robert Letoile of Hampstead; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Island Pond Baptist Church, Hampstead. Burial will be in West Hampstead Cemetery.
