Permission received to include in the USGenWeb Archives. Ernest H. Noel III HAMMOND, N.Y. -- Ernest Hayden Noel III, 52, of 2394 Black Lake Road, died Saturday, July 21, 2001, at his home. He was born Aug. 16, 1948, in Nashua, the son of Shirley (Cross) Noel of Raymond and the Ernest H. Noel Jr. and was a longtime resident of Raymond before moving to New York. He was a 1967 graduate of Raymond High School where he was a member of the championship soccer team in 1966. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War serving from 1968 until 1970. Mr. Noel was employed by Prescott Farms in Raymond and worked as a manufacturer for Sylvania Light Co. in Manchester for 11 years before moving to New York. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and family gatherings. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Derek G. Noel of Epping; two brothers, Gary Noel of Hammond and Peter Noel of Manchester; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Calling hours will be held Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, On the Common, Raymond. Memorial services will follow at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Neil Iverson officiating. Stevens BARRINGTON -- Ann (Robbins) Stevens, 70, of 1 Melodie Lane, Ambleside Mobile Home Park, formerly of Kingston, died July 19, 2001, at her home after a six month battle with cancer. She was born May 5, 1931, in northern New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Rev. Burton and Ada Robbins. She was a 1950 graduate of Robinson Female Seminary, Exeter, and received a two-year nursing degree from the Crippled Children's Hospital, Newton, Mass. Mrs. Stevens was a certified nurse's aide at the Rockingham County Nursing Home, Brentwood, and at St. Ann's Nursing Home, Dover. She enjoyed reading and bowling. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Arthur Stevens; one daughter and her husband, Nancy and Douglas Hunter of Exeter, R.I.; three sons and one daughter-in-law, David Stevens of Saco, Maine, and Philip Stevens and Eric and Theresa Stevens all of Portsmouth; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alice Symonds of Keene, Martha Jennings of North Carolina and Peggy Stimson of Rochester, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug. 4, at 1 p.m. in Pilgrim United Church of Christ, Route 111A, Brentwood, with the Rev. Kimberly McKerley officiating. Mau RAYMOND -- Harold "Harry" J. Mau, 76, of 62 Freetown Road, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born Aug. 9, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of the late Arthur and Minnie (Hager) Mau. He was a former longtime resident of Long Island, N.Y., and had resided in Plaistow before moving to Raymond 14 years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving aboard the USS Butler in the South Pacific and was the recipient of three Purple Hearts. Mr. Mau was employed by Air France for 25 years, first at JFK Airport in New York and then at Logan Airport in Boston. He was a life member of the N.H. Disabled American Veterans. He built and flew radio controlled airplanes as a hobby. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Jutres) Mau of Raymond; one son, Harold G. Mau of Dover; one daughter, Dianne Winchell of Raymond; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two stepdaughters, Deborah A. Luiz of Plaistow and Donna Banks of Danville; one stepson, Edward Hubley of Plaistow; six step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson. He was predeceased by one sister, Virginia Mau. Memorial services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Epping Community Church, Pleasant Street, Epping. Hurrell EXETER -- Linda Lee Hurrell, 58, of Sherwood Forest, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at her home after a brief illness. She was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of the late William and Francis (Berry) Ralph and was a longtime resident of Newton. Mrs. Hurrell was a bookkeeper at Plaistow Bank & Trust (now First Mass Bank) for 25 years. She enjoyed collecting and making teddy bears. She is survived by two sons, Keith Hurrell of Hampton and Kevin Hurrell of Loyal, Wis.; four granddaughters; three sisters, Elaine Williams of Groveland, Mass., Evelyn Smith of Kingston, and Gail O'Neil of Exeter; two brothers, Franklin Ralph of Kingston and James Ralph of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Seacoast Hospice, 10 Hampton Road, Exeter, NH 03833.
